CITIES is an annual conference held by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia. The main purpose of this conference series is to explore the latest advances on research-based technologies, inter-disciplinary planning practices, and to promote research activities. 

For this year, the main topic of CITIES is about Coastal Planning of Waterfront Cities or Settlements and their impacts toward a Sustainable Maritime Development. CITIES 2016 will be held at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Surabaya, Indonesia. By joining CITIES 2016, academics, researchers, and professionals can share their concepts, ideas, and experiences related to the development of maritime sector in their home countries.
